What won the race: Polesitter Ryan Gustin of Marshalltown, Iowa, led all 25 laps Saturday at Thunder Hill Speedway for a $1,000 victory, the fifth of his career on the National Championship Racing Association.
Key notes: Gustin was a three-time NCRA winner last season, including his most recent victory in the Aug. 8 finale at Junction Motor Speedway in McCool Junction, Neb. ... Runner-up Randy Timms of Wheatland, Okla., started third. ... Many NCRA competitors now use crate engines. ... Gary Gorby scratched from the feature.
