What won the race: Polesitter John Ownbey of Cleveland, Tenn., topped fifth-starting Riley Hickman of Ooltewah, Tenn., for a $2,500 United Crate Racing Alliance victory at Boyd's Speedway, notching his first career victory on the first-year tour.
Key notes: Ownbey, who finished second in the tour's previous race on June 19 at 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, Tenn., owns multiple special-event victories in 2015. ... The race made up a June 26 rainout. ... The series will return to Boyd's on Sept. 19 for another $2,500-to-win event.
On the move: James Perry of Ringgold, Ga., advanced from the 11th starting position to finish fourth.
