Hill's disqualification lifts Montgomery at Elkins
What won the race: Ryan Montgomery inherited Friday's $2,000 Fastrak-sanctioned touring victory at Elkins Raceway after the post-race disqualification of Daniel Hill for failing to meet the minimum valve spring install height in his engine. Marching forward from 10th, Hill was the apparent winner on opening night of the Richard Skidmore Memorial weekend.
Key notes: Hill's install height measured at 1.775 inches with the minimum requirement at 1.780 inches. ... Friday was the first of two nights of action apart of the track's fifth annual Richard Skidmore Memorial. ...
