John Waters enjoys his victory lap at Humberstone Speedway.
What won the race: Polesitter John Waters of Whitesville, N.Y., led all 30 laps from the pole to outrun sixth-starting Bryce Davis of Hornell, N.Y., for a $2,000 RUSH victory at Humberstone Speedway.
Quotable: "It started to become fun going through traffic," Waters said. "I could pick and choose my line. This car was phenomenal. It didn’t matter if I through it up on the cushion or rolled around the bottom."
Key notes: Waters scored his first RUSH victory of the season. He was also the winner of last year's series stop at Humberstone. ... “We had a great car tonight," runner-up Bryce Davis said. "John just outpowered us.” ... Several incidents slowed the action. ... A lap-11 caution appeared for a tangle between W.L. Stile and Steve Lebarron. ... Another caution flew a lap later for a Paul Grigsby-Jeff Dayman collision that sent Dayman into the frontstretch wall. ... Rob Pietz nearly flipped on the 14th lap, stopping to draw a lap-14 yellow.
On the move: Runner-up Bryce Davis advanced five positions; Max Blair started 10th and finished sixth.
Winner's sponsors: Waters drives a MasterSbilt Race Car from MBH with sponsorshipo from Troupscreek Heating, Fox, Fastline Performance, Insinger Performance Race Parts and Troupcreek Auto Parts.
Points chase: Entering Sunday's event, Max Blair led the series points standings.
