What won the race: Stretching his series points leader, Ben Watkins of Rock Hill, S.C., won at Fayetteville Motor Speedway for the second time in a row, earning $4,000 in the Jimmy Smith Memorial Back to School Bash. Watkins debuted a new Longhorn Chassis and took the checkers two seconds ahead of Scott Autry while Kenny Collins had a career-best third place series finish.
Quotable: "Uncle Larry, Doug, Brian and this whole crew. They put me here," Watkins said. "This car was awesome."
Key notes: Runner-up Scott Autry took the second spot from Kenny Collins late in the race. ... The Carolina Clash returned to action for the first time since June 9. ...
