Jack Sullivan heads to a Comp Cams victory at I-30 Speedway.
What won the race: Polesitter Jack Sullivan of Greenbrier, Ark., led all 40 laps Saturday at I-30 Speedway, denying Wendell Wallace of Batesville, Ark., a weekend sweep on the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series. Sullivan earned $2,000 in topping Wallace, Friday's winner at Crowley's Ridge Raceway in Paragould, Ark.
Key notes: Six cautions slowed the feature, including when front-row starter Allen Tippen spun at the outset, collecting Raymond Merrill. ... Six states were represented among 23 drivers. ... Wendell Wallace's car owner Dan Abernathy was back home in Memphis, Tenn., after suffering a compound fracture of his right leg when, while avoiding a car hung up on the wall at Crowley's Ridge, he jumped off the turn-one wall while signaling Wallace in the feature.
On the move: Hometown driver Tommy Surrett started 10th and finished fifth; Robert Baker started 19th and finished eighth.
Winner's sponsors: Sullivan's Rocket Chassis is sponsored by Triple A Diesel, Merrill Bonding, Bad Boy Mowers, Peterson Fluid Systems, Sweet Mfg., Keyster Mfg., and Central Arkansas Pest Services.
Points chase: Jack Sullivan of Greenbrier, Ark., extended his series points lead. He's got 1,533 points to lead Kyle Beard (1,460) and Robert Baker (1,432).
