Chris Ferguson emerges after his second Stick Elliott Memorial victory.
What won the race: Chris Ferguson of Mount Holly, N.C., topped a 13-car field Saturday at Cherokee Speedway for his second victory in the track's Stick Elliott Memorial. Ferguson earned $5,022 for his first career Southern All Star triumph as he started on the pole and led all 50 laps.
Key notes: Tim Allen started outside the front row and slipped back to fifth. ... Runner-up Riley Hickman challenged Ferguson on restarts but was unable to get past. ... Ferguson is the tour's 166th winner in 32 years.
