Donnie Chappell heads for victory at Friendship Motor Speedway.
What won the race: Second-starting Donnie Chappell of Jacksonville, Fla., raced to his first-ever victory on the Fast Unified Engine Late Model Series, pocketing $3,000 in front of a large crowd. Fourth-starting Donald Bradsher of Burlington, N.C., and fifth-starting Ross Bailes of Clover, S.C., rounded out the podium.
Key notes: Chappell became the seventh driver to win a FUEL event in the tour's short history. ... The series wrapped up its second season of competition with their third stop at Friendship.
