Jesse Stovall heads for his ninth MARS victory of the season.
What won the race: Becoming the tour's first nine-time winner since 2010, Jesse Stovall of Billings, Mo., completed his season-long MARS DIRTcar Series domination at Salina Highbanks Speedway on Saturday with a $3,000 victory. Stovall's fourth victory at the Oklahoma oval was his ninth of the season on the Missouri-based tour and 27th of his career.
Key notes: Josh Hughes challenged Stovall early but spun out of contention. .... The second race of two-event weekend at Salina, Okla., wrapped up the MARS season. ... An Oct. 3 event at Caney Valley Speedway in Caney, Kan., was cancelled.
