What won the race: Capitalizing on polesitter Terrance Nowell's spin amid lapped traffic, hometown driver Montana Dudley dominated the final 19 laps at East Alabama Motor Speedway to win the Crate Late Model portion of the 37th annual Alabama State Championships.
Key notes: Dudley, who started outside the front row, took the checkers 1.463 seconds ahead of runner-up Rodgerick Dykes. ... Terrance Nowell led 31 laps but a lapped car forced him to spin, leaving him with a flat tire and damaged that forced him out of the race. ... Brian Connor ran as high as fifth but exited with a flat tire with five laps remaining. ... Fourteen drivers completed 50 laps.
