Casey Roberts earned his first Southern All Star victory since 2010.
What won the race: Leading all 50 laps, polesitter Casey Roberts of Toccoa, Ga., earned $5,000 Sunday evening at Cochran Motor Speedway for a $5,000 Southern All Star victory. Roberts took the checkers ahead of three-time and reigning series champion Riley Hickman of Ooltewah, Tenn., for his first series victory since 2010.
Quotable: "I learned last night not to get up out of that bottom too much," Roberts said. "So I tried to learn from my mistake last night."
Key notes: Roberts earned his sixth career Southern All Star victory and first since April 3, 2010, at Lavonia (Ga.) Speedway. ... Georgia tracks have been host to all of the series victories for Roberts. ... Thirteen of 21 starters completed 50 laps. ... Dale McDowell ran second most of the way but blew a right-rear tire after completing 47 laps.
