What won the race: Winning for the second straight night, third-starting Billy Moyer Jr. of Batesville, Ark., survived an early spin and led the final 17 laps to capture the Sunoco American Late Model Series-sanctioned 27th annual Barney Oldfield Memorial. Moyer beat Jon Henry to the checkers and earned $5,200 in a race won by his father in 2001.
Key notes: Moyer won the previous night at Hartford (Mich.) Motor Speedway in the American Ethanol Late Model Tour action, earning $4,000. ... Steve Kester led early with Moyer spinning in turn four; because he was able to keep his car moving, he was restored to his top-five running position. ... Jon Henry took the lead from Kester on a lap-five restart and built a big lead. ... Moyer took the point on lap 24 and led the rest of the 40-lapper. ...
