What won the race: Montana Dudley of Phenix City, Ala., led all 60 laps Saturday at Cochan Speedway for a $4,000 victory on the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series. Dudley took the checkers 3.865 seconds ahead of Jimmy Thomas.
Key notes: Rear-end issues forced points leader Scott Dedwylder out of the race while he was running second on lap 43. ... Six cautions slowed the action, including on lap 19 when Chase Edge was running second and tangled with the slower car of Jason Britton, damaging both cars. ... Payton Freeman, who made his series debut, spun on lap 37. ... Eight drivers completed 60 laps. ... Forrest Trent wasn't able to start the feature event. ... Light rain delayed the beginning of the event and series officials scrapped any preliminary races.
