Winner Hunter Rasdon (R5) mixes it up with Rick Rickman (86).
What won the race: Taking the lead from Rick Rickman of Columbus, Miss., for good on the 30th of 35 laps, fourth-starting Hunter Rasdon of Jonesboro, Ark., led the final six circuits for a $2,000 Comp Cams Super Dirt Series triumph. The pair of drivers exchanged the lead three times between laps 26 and 30.
Quotable: “I’m exhausted right now, and it’s even hard to talk. That was a really demanding track tonight,” Rasdon said in victory lane. “Rick (Rickman) really made me drive the wheels off this thing to get the win. Me and Kyle (Beard) and Jack (Sullivan) are in a real tight points battle, so nights like this are really important if we are going to win the championship.”
Key notes: Rasdon won his third series race of the season. ... The feature was slowed by multiple cautions. ... Clay Fisher led the first 11 laps before Rasdon first took command for two circuits (laps 12 and 13). ... Rick Rickman grabbed the lead on lap 14 and held it until Rasdon nosed ahead to pace lap 26. Rick Rickman regained command for laps 27-29 before Rasdon outdueled him to make lap 30 the race's final lead change. ... Brian Rickman ran second for much of the distance; Jack Sullivan slipped in to take runner-up honors late. ... The Comp Cams Super Dirt Series opened up a Mississippi tripleheader weekend at Greenville. ... Action continues Friday at Jackson Motor Speedway in Byram and Saturday at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus.
On the move: Brett White started 12th and finished seventh.
Winner's sponsors: Rasdon's Black Diamond Chassis is powered by a Jay Dickens-built engine and carries sponsorship from Brown Brothers Farms, Baker Welman Brown Insurance and Financial Services, Case Baker Implement, Agrigold, JigEsigns, Keyser Mfg. and All-Star Perfomance.
