Rhett Carter earned $5,000 for his third career Southern Thunder win.
What won the race: Rhett Carter of Blackshear, Ga., led all 40 laps Sunday at Cochran Motor Speedway for a $5,000 payday and his third career Southern Thunder Late Model Series victory.
Quotable: "We're just glad to get (a win). We've had so much misfortune up here at Cochran as far as breaking or making the wrong calls sometimes," Carter said. "We're glad to get one of these over here."
Key notes: Carter's previous series victory came May 7 at North Florida Speedway in Lake City. ... Four drivers completed 40 laps at Cochran. ... They were the only cars running among 12 starters.
