David Breazeale gets rolling before his victory at Greenville.
What won the race: Series points leader David Breazeale of Four Corners, Miss., raced to his third consecutive series victory, taking the checkers ahead of Columbus, Miss., brothers Brian and Rick Rickman in the 40-lap feature. Breazeale started outside the front row while polesitter Clay Fisher was among six retirees.
Key notes: Besides his previous two series victories in Randy Thompson's ride, Breazeale also won Greenville's regular-season feature nine days earlier, making a guest appearance in the his own No. 54. ... Christopher Showah's car got upside down at the end of the frontstretch in a wreck that also ended Leon Henderson's night; no injuries were reported. ... Sixteen of 22 starters were running at the finish. ... The series returned to action after a month-long break. ... The race was the first of four MSCCS visits to the gumbo clay oval. ...
