What won the race: Inheriting the lead when third-starting Dustin Linville of Bryantsville, Ky., slowed with engine problems, outside polesitter Cody Mahoney of Madison, Ind., led the remaining distance for a $3,000 Ultimate Battle of the Bluegrass Series victory in Ponderosa Speedway's Pete Abell Memorial.
Key notes: Mahoney captured his second special event victory of the season; he earned a $5,000 payday in Florence Speedway's Spring 50 back in March. ... The race was slowed by three cautions. ... The first yellow flag waved when Tanner English spun in turn two. ... Tripp Gerrald spun exiting turn two to draw a caution. ... The final yellow flew when Tommy Bailey spun in turn two. ... Jamie Stumph recently took over as Ponderosa's promoter, relieving Jerry Denson. ...
