What won the race: David Breazeale of Four Corners, Miss., outran Chad Thrash of Collinsville, Miss., to capture his first Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series victory of the season. He collected a $2,500 payday.
Key notes: Breazeale, a three-time MSCCS champion, sits second on the series all-time win list with 29 career victories; his last came at Jackson in September 2013. ... Jackson hosted the second of three scheduled MSCCS events for 2016; Kyle Beard of Trumann, Ark., was the winner of the April 23 event. ...
