What won the race: Polesitter Jackie Boggs of Grayson, Ky., outran Chris Combs of Isom, Ky., at 201 Speedway to triumph on the Ironman Mountain Championship tour for the second straight night. Boggs led all the way to earn the $5,000 reward in the Hatfield & McCoy Feuding 50.
Quotable: "I love racing at this racetrack," Boggs said. "It cleans up nice and it's racy, you can race all over it ... it don't take a lot of horsepower to run good here. You've just gotta set the car up right to get around this racetrack, and my car's working pretty good."
Key notes: Boggs captured his third career Ironman Mountain Championship victory of the season; he is the only repeat winner on the tour. ... Boggs notched multiple touring victories for the second consecutive weekend. ... Brandon Kinzer started outside the front row and ran second until runner-up Chris Combs took the spot on an early restart; Kinzer retired late in the feature. ... The final Ironman event is set for Oct. 1 at 201.
Winner's sponsors: Boggs drives a Swartz Race Car sponsored by Central Star Drilling, McCoy Brothers Logging, Impact Race Gear, Reno & Sons Lawn Care and Quest Energy.
