What won the race: Taking the lead on the last lap, Greg Oakes of Franklinville, N.Y., topped Dave Hess Jr. in a wild finish at Bradford Speedway for a $2,575 victory Sunday evening. Doug Eck led the first 38 laps but spun after Hess took the lead on lap 39. On the final restart, Oakes slid under Hess in turns one and two and led only the final lap for the victory.
Key notes: Oakes notched his second career ULMS victory. ... His first came Sept. 9, 2012, at Bradford, the last time the track hosted Super Late Models. ... Doug Eck dominated the race before Hess overtook him in traffic before the white flag. ... Eleven of 19 starters finished on the lead lap and 14 drivers were running at the finish. ... The track drew its biggest crowd of the year.
