What won the race: Hometown driver Dustin Strand of overtook race leader Joey Pederson on a lap-seven restart, then held off hard-charging World of Outlaws sprint car regular Donny Schatz to pick up the NLRA victory at River Cities Speedway by 0.297 seconds.
Key notes: The victory was Strand's fourth straight NLRA victory and his sixth overall NLRA victory this season. ... It was also Strand's 11th career NLRA victory. ... The race was slowed by three cautions on laps five, 10, and 19. ... Bill Mooney led the first two laps and Joey Pederson led laps 3-6; Strand took over on lap seven and led the rest of the way. ... Schatz went on to win the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series event.
