What won the race: Regaining the lead from Pat Doar with three laps remaining, track champion Darrell Nelson of Hermantown, Minn., drove his No. 44 to victory in the 44th annual Silver 1000 in front of a big crowd on a slick Proctor Speedway oval. Nelson earned $2,500 in purse money and swept the night with a modified feature victory, duplicating his 2006 sweep.
