Jake Redetzke picked up $4,000 for his victory at Ogilvie.
What won the race: Polesitter Jake Redetzke of Eau Claire, Wis., fought off a late challenge from seventh-starting Jimmy Mars to capture the WISSOTA Late Model portion of the chilly Shaw Trucking Fall Classic. Redetzke collected $4,000 for the 40-lap victory.
Quotable: "I thought it was going to rubber up early, so we kind of backed down on the setup. Early it was good, and then mid-race I'm like, 'I don't know how I'm doing,' " Jake Redetzke said in victory lane. "I just tried to keep my momentum up and not get into lapped cars and not hit the tires — I definitely hit it a couple of times, or scuffed it."
Key notes: Redetzke won by 0.492 seconds. ... He also won the previous Saturday in Ashland, Wis., at ABC Raceway's Red Clay Classic for another $4,000. ... Runner-up Jimmy Mars gained three spots on the first lap then took second from John Kaanta on a late restart. ... Fifteen of the 26 starters finished on the lead lap. ... The race was promoted by Chris Stepan's FYE Motorsports. ... The event originally run at Viking Speedway in Alexandria, Minn.
Winner's sponsors: Redetzke drives an MB Customs Race Car with sponsorship from J&D Manufacturing, Champ Pans and CMB Shocks.
Points chase: Dustin Strand of Grand Forks, N.D., leads WISSOTA's overall points; he didn't compete at Ogilvie.
