What won the race: Front-row starter Dusty Leonard of Marysville, Kan., held off repeated challenges from third-starting Chris Kratzerfor a $1,000 National Championship Racing Association triumph in the tour's penultimate event at 81 Speedway.
Key notes: Cautions appeared for Loren Dauer (lap-six spin) and Jimmy Segraves (stopped on backstretch on ninth lap). ... Adam Popp scratched from the 15-lap feature. ... Leonard won his second NCRA event of 2016, with the previous coming Aug. 20 at Thunder Hill Speedway in Mayetta, Kan. ... The tour stopped in Park City for the third and final time. ... Salina (Kan.)
