What won the race: Polesitter Shanon Buckingham of Morristown, Tenn., led all 40 laps, holding off multiple challenges from second-starting Billy Ogle Jr. of Knoxville, Tenn., to earn the $3,500 Schaeffer Oil Iron-Man Mountain Championship series victory at Boyd's Speedway.
Quotable: "It was a lesson in discipline just to try to slow down and keep the car on the bottom ... maybe go a little faster," said Buckingham. "Appreciate Billy (Ogle Jr.) for driving me clean. I'm sure he probably could have turned me around on any corner down there."
