What won the race: Dennis Erb Jr. of Carpentersville, lll., outran Friday night winner Rodney Sanders of Happy, Texas, for a $5,000 Tuckassee Toilet Bowl Classic victory at Clarksville Speedway. Erb finished ahead of Sanders by .278 seconds.
Quotable: "We just had to be patient there," winner Dennis Erb Jr. said. "The racetrack was one lane around the bottom and we just had to be patient in traffic and it all worked out for us tonight."
Key notes: The race completed the opening weekend for the co-sanctioned MARS DIRTcar series (for both the newly developed East and West divisions of the tour, now owned by Clarksville promoter William Scogin). ... The win was the fourth of Erb's MARS career, three of which have come at Clarksville; he also won the Toilet Bowl opener in 2016 and finale in 2011. ... Nineteen of 26 starters finished. ...
