Andrew Yoder enjoys victory lane at Port Royal Speedway.
What won the race: Andrew Yoder of Middleburg, Pa., overtook Tim Krape on the 11th lap and raced to a 20-lap victory in the first-ever event on the Mason-Dixon Shootout Series for Limited Late Models. Yoder earned $1,000 in taking the checkers 1.931 seconds ahead of Rance Garlock.
Key notes: All but two of 24 starters completed 20 laps. ... The Mason-Dixon Shootout Series was developed during the off-season by Mount Union, Pa., driver Ralph Morgan Jr. ... Kris Eaton promotes the series. ... Besides Port Royal, the new tour plans events at Bedford Speedway, Hagerstown Speedway, Path Valley Speedway, Williams Grove Speedway, Winchester Speedway and more Mid-Atlantic tracks.
