Terry Phillips captured his 112th MLRA victory.
What won the race: Terry Phillips of Springfield, Mo., celebrated his first Lucas Oil Midwest LateModel Racing Association triumph of the season, holding off Chad Simpson of Mount Vernon, Iowa, on a restart with three laps remaining. Phillips pocketed $3,000 for the victory at Missouri's Randolph County Raceway.
Key notes: Phillips notched his 112th career Lucas Oil Midwest LateModel Racing Association victory. He last won with the tour Aug. 12-13, 2016, when he swept a weekend at Junction Motor Speedway in McCool Junction, Neb. ... Runner-up Chad Simpson of Mount Vernon, Iowa, won last year's MLRA stop at Randolph County. ... Nine of the 18 starters finished on the lead lap. ... Saturday's 18 entrants were the tour's fewest of the season to date. ... Chris Simpson of Oxford, Iowa, did not enter Saturday's program, but won the opening two legs of MLRA's weekend tripleheader at Scotland County Speedway in Memphis, Mo., and Lee County Speedway in Donnellson, Iowa. ... With the cancellation of a June 24 event at Adams County Speedway in Corning, Iowa, the MLRA will remain idle until a June 30-July 1 twinbill at Salina (Okla.) Highbanks Speedway.

Points chase: Entering the race, Tony Jackson Jr. of Lebanon, Mo., sat atop the MLRA points standings, just six points in front of Rodney Sanders. Defending series champion Jesse Stovall of Billings, Mo., was 20 points behind Jackson.
