What won the race: Polesitter Ben Watkins of Rock Hill, S.C., raced to his first career Fast Unified Engine Late Model Series victory, holding off second-starting Travis Pennington by 0.562 seconds at Lavonia Speedway for the $3,000 victory. David McCoy was third, 0.929 seconds back.
Key notes: Watkins entered fresh off a $4,900 I-95 Late Model Challenge victory at Fayetteville (N.C.) Motor Speedway on Memorial Day weekend. ...
