Jonathan Davenport picked up two trophies and checks at 311.
What won the race: Jonathan Davenport of Blairsville, Ga., completed the sweep of Saturday's Super Late Model action, topping AES Racing teammate Dennis Franklin of Gaffney S.C., for another $2,500 payday in a caution-plagued 25-lap event. Davenport came from fifth to the lead in less than two laps.
Key notes: The program featured twin features for both Super Late Models and Crate Late Models. ... Davenport swept both 25-lap Super Late Model features and added a Crate Late Model victory for good measure. ... Davenport started fifth after the invert; drivers sixth on back started heads up from the finish of the first feature. ... Franklin and Jeff Smith each recorded top-five finishes in both features, along with Davenport. ... Only 11 drivers completed all 25 laps of the second feature. ... Justin Labonte was running third in the finale when he suffered a mechanical issue. ... Tour competitors made their only 2014 stop at 311. ... The 4-year-old series made its third overall appearance at the track. ... Smith won the other Crate Late Model feature.
On the move: Brandon Overton rallied from the tail to finish fourth after he retired with problems in the first 25-lapper.
Winner's sponsors: Davenport's Longhorn Chassis carries sponsorship from Advanced Electronic Services, AES Racing, C&D Properties, Dirtwrap, FK Rod Ends, Hoosier Racing Tire, JRi Shocks, K&L Rumley Enterprises, Mega Plumbing of the Carolinas and VP Racing Fuels.
Points chase: Franklin and Overton were tied atop the standings with 98 points apiece prior to Saturday's twin features.
