What won the race: Fast qualifier Matt Cosner of Ridgely, W.Va., overtook race-long leader Jeff Rine on the 29th of 35 laps to win the opening event on the four-race Independence Day Summer Classic, earning $3,500. Cosner pulled away to win by four seconds.
