Trever Feathers heads for a $3,500 victory at Winchester.
What won the race: Polesitter Trever Feathers of Winchester, Va., outgunned second-starting Jason Covert of York Haven, Pa., for the lead at the initial green flag and never looked back en route to capturing a $3,500 victory in the 35-lap Independence Day Summer Classic at Winchester Speedway.
Quotable: "We were hoping for slow and slick here tonight and that's just what we got," Feathers said after his third win of 2017 at Winchester. "We qualified well tonight and then drew the pole for the feature, so I knew if I could beat Jason into the first turn we'd have a shot to win and we were able to get it done."

Speedway on Friday, Delaware’s Georgetown Speedway on Sunday and Maryland’s Potomac Speedway on Monday. Each race pays $3,500 to win. … Points will be tallied for each event, with a point fund distributed to the Late Models after the weekend tour. ...
