Russ King picked up the $1,500 paycheck Wednesday evening.
What won the race: Russ King picked up the victory in the Trumbull County Fair Race at Expo Speedway by leading all 20 laps of the feature event at the 5/8-mile oval. The victory paid $1,500 in the caution-free evening.
Quotable: "I love this track. It's fast and high speed, but there's finesse to it," said King, who lives nearby. "The frontstretch is kind of like a NASCAR track with a tri-oval. When my parents promoted the track back in 1995 I sat in the stands and loved the speeds. I wish we could race here more."
Key notes: The victory was King's second RUSH Touring Series victory of the season. ... King picked up a RUSH victory at Lernerville on June 30. ... King won the event from his pole starting position and also won his heat race. ... Series action continues July 30 at Eriez.
Winner's sponsors: King's Rocket Chassis is sponsored by King's Sanitary Service, University Hospitals, Argos, RKR Compound and Integra Shocks.
Points chase: Bryce Davis leads the series standings (578 points) over John Waters (558) and Jeremy Wonderling (553).
