Terrance Nowell shows off his by paycheck at East Alabama.
What won the race: Terrance Nowell of Phenix City, Ala., led the final five laps to pick up a victory at his home track, topping Joseph Brown by 1.771 seconds to win the Jimmy Thomas Memorial at East Alabama Motor Speedway. Brown led 35 laps before giving way to Nowell. Fast qualifier Larry Harrod finished third. Nowell collected $2,000 for the win.
Key notes: Nowell, who drove a car provided by Larry Harrod, previously won in Southern Thunder action at EAMS on May 27. ... Nowell and Harrod started on the front row together. ...
