What won the race: Overtaking fellow front-row starter Chad Wright on the sixth lap, Max Blair earned $2,000 at Eriez Speedway for his first Sweeney Chevrolet RUSH Series victory of the season. Blair took the checkers ahead of Russ King and Jason Genco for his fourth series victory at Eriez in five years.
Quotable: "It's been an unreal season," said Blair, who had 12 of his 25 overall feature victories in July "I haven't been able to race as many of these tour races as I would have liked to due to the Super Late Model commitments, but I always enjoy racing them when I can and look forward to the next one."
Key notes: Max Blair has seven victories in his last eight feature starts overall. ... Chad Wright spun after a tangle with Russ King while battling for second; Wright was disqualified for exiting his car. ... Series points leader Bryce Davis, who was fourth, has a single tour finish outside the top five. ... Eriez is continuing its season after the summer death of track owner Bob Rohrer. ... Eriez averages 20 RUSH-sanctioned Crate Late Models weekly with a season low of 18. ... The RUSH event was a makeup of a May 28 rainout.
On the move: Darrell Bossard started 15th and finished seventh.
Winner's sponsors: Blair’s Rocket Chassis is sponsored by Specialty Products, R&J Poultry Electrical Contractor, Murphy’s Logging, Moody & Son Welding, Hicktown Farms, D.L. Anderson Builder and Remodeler, and C and J Dairy.
