David McCoy's team enjoys victory lane after his Toccoa triumph.
What won the race: Repeating his victory from June 2016, defending series champion David McCoy of Franklin, N.C., won Saturday's Southeastern Late Model Sportsman main event at Toccoa Raceway. McCoy collected $2,900 in winning the Stephen Wragg Memorial while beating Travis Pennington of Mableton, Ga., to the finish by 1.869 seconds.
Key notes: The win was McCoy's first on tour this season and the 24th of his career. ... Eleven cars completed all 29 laps. … Three-time series winner Jimmy Johnson of Danielsville, Ga., finished 15 laps down; Johnson has won half of the tour's six races this season. ...
