What won the race: Successfully defending his home turf, Jason Trammell of Knoxville, Tenn., picked up his first United Crate Racing Alliance of the season with a $2,500 victory at Tazewell Speedway Saturday. Trammell took the checkers comfortably ahead of Jesse Lowe and UCRA points leader Rusty Ballenger in the Bad Fast 40.
Key notes: Trammell is the sixth winner in nine series races. ... Jesse Lowe of Crossville, Tenn., recorded his fifth straight runner-up finish in UCRA competition. … Running second headed to the white flag, Forrest Trent bounced off the turn four wall and slipped back to seventh. … Heat winner Mack McCarter violently flipped his new CVR Race Car after making contact on the opening lap with with Trent. McCarter was uninjured. … Anthony White of Clinton, Tenn., won the series first visit to Tazewell May 20 when the race was cut short on lap 27 by rain.
