David Henneon picked up his first Southern Texas tour victory.
What won the race: David Hennan slipped past leader Brandon Brzozowski as they raced through traffic on lap 15 and went on to win Friday’s 25-lap Southern Texas Late Model Series race at West Texas Speedway. Hennan earned $800 for his first Southern Texas win of the season. Jon Ortega finished second, while Brzozowski held on for third.
Key notes: The win was Hennan's first series victory of the season. ... The race was slowed by a pair of cautions and one red flag. ... The first caution waved when Sloppy Hogg slowed on the front straightaway on lap three. … The second caution was for Eddy Hardage, who made contact with the wall and slowed in turn four. … On lap 18, Mike Fenton rode the wall bringing out a red flag.
