Derick Quade celebrates his first Mason-Dixon Shootout victory.
What won the race: Second-starting Derick Quade of Mechanicsville, Md., picked up his first Mason-Dixon Shootout Series win of the season, topping polesitter Donnie Farlling at Bedford Speedway. Robbie Black advanced from the third row to finish third. Quade earned $1,000.
Key notes: Before his breakthrough win, Quade had four runner-up finishes this season. ... The series' Triple Crown weekend kicked off at Clinton County Motor Speedway in Mill Hall, Pa., on Friday with Dillan Stake winning while Hagerstown (Md.) Speedway's Saturday event rained out during preliminaries. ... Ralph Morgan Jr. of Mount Union, Pa., won the weekend’s Triple Crown title over Eric Irvin and Devin Hart. ...
