Driving for car owner Joey Moriarty, Jason Noll shows off his first-place trophy.
What won the race: Eighth-starting Jason Noll of Phoenix, Ariz., led the final 12 laps for his first Super Late Model victory in eight years, topping seventh-starting Lonnie Parker Jr. of El Mirage, Ariz., for the $1,200 top prize.
Key notes: The 25-lap feature was slowed by six cautions in the first eight laps then ran caution-free to the finish. ... John Cornell led the opening circuit before giving way to Ricky Thornton Jr. ... Thornton, who had won his previous four starts in Jeff Manka's No. 5 Rocket Chassis, held the point until he pulled in under a lap-8 caution with apparent motor issues. ... Parker assumed the race lead and kept until Noll went past on the 14th circuit. ... Noll went on to notch his first series victory. ... The track hosted its first of two CDM events; the tour returns to Queen City on Nov. 15.
On the move: The winning Noll came forward from eighth.
Winner's sponsors: Noll drove Joey Moriarty's No. 51 machine, which is sponsored by Total Seal Piston Rings.
