What won the race: Reigning series champ and points leader Jack Sullivan of Greenbrier, Ark., overtook home-state driver Rob Litton on the 28th lap and captured Saturday night's 40-lap Comp Cams Super Dirt Series feature at Boothill Speedway. Sullivan took the checkers 2.279 seconds ahead of Litton for his series-leading seventh victory of 2017 and the 23rd of his career.
Key notes: Litton started on the outside pole and led the feature until pushing up the track on lap 28, allowing Sullivan to seize command for good. ... B.J. Robinson made a solid march forward from the 13th starting spot to finish fourth. ... Fourteen drivers finished on the lead lap in a race slowed by two caution flags. ... Gavin Landers was the night's hard-luck driver; engine issues plagued him throughout the program. ... Boothill Speedway hosted the series for the first time since Kenny Merchant's 2010 victory.
On the move: Garrett Alberson of Las Cruces, N.M., advanced from the 19th starting spot to finish fifth.
Winner's sponsors: Sullivan’s Rocket Chassis is powered by a Clements Racing Engine and sponsored by Triple A Diesel Service, Merrill Bonding, Bad Boy Mowers, Peterson Fluid Systems, Keyser Manufacturing Co., and Sweet Mfg.
