What won the race: Fifth-starting Don Shaw of Ham Lake, Minn., notched his eighth Viking Speedway victory of the season, topping series points leader Ricky Weiss of Headingley, Manitoba, for a $1,600 Northern LateModel Racing Association victory. Shaw reversed the top-two positions from Saturday's feature, which saw Weiss claim a victory over Shaw.
Key notes: Shaw earned his second NLRA victory of the season with the previous coming Aug. 6 at Sheyenne River Speedway in Lisbon, N.D. ... Viking hosted its second race of an NLRA weekend doubleheader. … It was the 41st time the series has visited Viking Speedway and the 15th consecutive season. … Zach Johnson has already clinched the track's points title. … The series concludes Sept. 7 at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, N.D.
