What won the race: Hometown driver Brent Hilton turned back charges from Kenny Peeples and a late rally by Jensen Ford to win the $3,000 East Coast Rumble at Wythe Raceway. Hilton won by 2.011 seconds ahead of Peeples while Ford settled for third.
Key notes: Fifteen drivers completed all 40 laps. ... The feature was red flagged for 30 minutes when Justin Williams flipped in turn four before a lap was completed. Williams, who was alert when he exited the car, was transported to the hospital where he was reportedly released after tests came back clear. ... Matt Long was running second when he broke a battery. ... Both Long and Walker Arthur retired during a caution on lap 28. ... Originally scheduled as the third stop of the weekend, Wythe was the first tour stop following rainouts at 311 Speedway on Friday and Tyler County on Saturday. … Tyler County will not be reschedule, but the East Coast Rumble will now wrap up at 311 on Monday. ...
