What won the race: Continuing an outstanding season, Don Shaw of Ham Lake, Minn., led all but nine laps of the John Seitz Memorial for a $9,200 payday at River Cities Speedway. Shaw overtook Ricky Weiss early in the 92-lapper and led the rest of the way, finishing .455 seconds ahead of runner-up A.J. Diemel, who stalked the leader but couldn't find a way past. Weiss was third.
Quotable: "This is so unbelievable," Shaw said after winning the race honoring his late brother-in-law. "This is great. ... This race means so much to me and I tell you what, he was riding with me tonight."
Key notes: Shaw has more than 25 victories on the season. ... Eleven drivers complete 92 laps. ... Fourth-place finisher Scott Ward improved 11 positions. ... Brad Seng started on the tail and finished sixth. ... Dustin Hapka drove Shaw's backup car. ... Steve Anderson didn't make the call for the feature. ... Heat races were held Friday. ... The event, among the richest WISSOTA races of the season, pays tribute to four-time NLRA champion John Seitz of Bemidji, Minn., who died at age 36 in a snowmobiling accident. ... Seitz is still the second-winningest NLRA driver in history.
On the move: John Kaanta of Elk Mound, Wis., started 21st and finished fifth.
Winner's sponsors: Shaw's Billy Moyer Victory Race Car is sponsored by Shaw Trucking, Blaine Brothers, Allstate Peterbilt, Northern Metal Recycling and Lube-Tech.
