Kyle Berck stayed perfect in series competition at Eagle Raceway.
What won the race: Staying perfect in series action at Eagle Raceway, fifth-starting Kyle Berck of Marquette, Neb., won Friday's Malvern Bank Series event to earn $1,200. Berck, who held off a charging Corey Zeitner, won the previous tour events at Eagle in 2013 and '14.
Key notes: Berck, the tour's all-time winningest driver (73), notched his fifth series victory of the season. ... Polesitter Cory Dumper led the first four laps but faded to finish sixth. ... Bill Leighton Jr. spun holding a transfer spot late in a consolation race. ... Late Models made a rare appearance at Eagle Speedway, a sprint-car stronghold not far from the Malvern Bank tour's de facto home track, I-80 Speedway. ... Along with the Late Model tour, the Lucas Oil Powri WAR Wingless Sprint Series and Precise Racing Products Sprint Series of Nebraska were in action.
