Brandon Overton drove Jake Teague's car to victory at Crossville.
What won the race: Making a cameo with the UCRA series, Brandon Overton of Evans, Ga., topped Jason Welshan of Maryville, Tenn., to win Friday's tour stop at Crossville. Ronnie Johnson of Chattanooga, Tenn., finished third. Overton picked up $2,500 for the victory.
Key notes: Overton beat Welshan to the checkers by 1.733 seconds. ... Overton drove the car normally piloted by Petross, Tenn.'s Jake Teague, the 2015 series champion. … Crossville’s Cameron Weaver, 19-year-old son of Randy Weaver, debuted a new Black Diamond Race Car, finishing 14th. … Kasey Hall was the only driver able to get into the 12-second bracket during qualifying. ...
