Bo Day heads to his third Sooner Series victory of the season.
What won the race: Bo Day of Greenville, Texas, outdueled Austin Theiss on a late restart at Southern Oklahoma Speedway for his third Sooner Series victory of the season. Theiss led most of the 25-lapper, but Day won a back-and-forth battle after a lap-23 restart for the victory.
Key notes: Jay Sale, who had led series points most of the season, missed the event while recovering from a concussion suffered in an accident at Enid Speedway a week earlier. He's expected to miss the rest of the season.
Winner's sponsors: Day's MasterSbilt Race Car is sponsored by Wichita Tank Racing, Quality Intermodal Delivery Service and Falcon Supply.
Points chase: Jason Redman of Sapulpa, Okla., moved into the series points lead because of the absence of Jay Sale.
Car count: 16
Heat race winners: Nate Jantz, Bo Day
Next series race: September 23, Elk City Speedway (Elk City, OK) $750
