Chris Ferguson led all the way for his $4,000 victory at Wythe Raceway.
What won the race: Fast qualifier and polesitter Chris Ferguson led all the way Saturday at Wythe Raceway for a 40-lap Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series victory. Ferguson, who broke leading in his last visit to the high-speed oval, earned $4,000 for his third triumph of 2017 on the regional tour.
Key notes: Michael Brown of Pageland, S.C., chased Ferguson across the finish line, 1.612 seconds behind at the checkered flag. ... Ferguson notched his 16th career Carolina Clash victory. He also won the previous series visit to Wythe in 2014. ... It was the sixth overall win of 2017 for Ferguson, who ended the two-race Clash win streak of the absent Ross Bailes. ... The Fred Brown-promoted track hosted its 26th Clash event.
