What won the race: Fast qualifier Benji Hicks of Mount Airy, N.C., earned $4,000 Saturday at Friendship Motor Speedway's Dirt Wars, leading the last 40 laps of the Crate Late Model special event. Hicks took the checkers two secondsa head of runner-up Matt Long.
Key notes: Matt Long led the first 10 laps with Steve Blackburn taking over the lead the next 10. ... Blackburn ended up eighth at the finish. ... Nine drivers completed 60 laps.
