What won the race: Brian Ruhlman of Clarklake, Mich., won Saturday's 35-lap Late Model finale of the Joe Atkinson Canadian Fall Shootout at South Buxton Raceway while Andrew Reaume of Blenheim, Ontario, picked up $3,500 for his best combined finishes on the weekend.
Key notes: The two-day Joey Atkinson Fall Shootout wrapped up the season at South Buxton, which is located about 50 miles east of Detroit. … The event was renamed the Joe Atkinson Memorial Canadian Fall Shootout, in honor of the track co-founder from Merlin, Ontario, following his death last September. … Michigan's Eric Spangler won Friday's 25-lap Late Model feature but headed back stateside on Saturday. … The Shootout champion is determined by the cumulation of points from the two nights, with the driver tallying the most points crowned the champion.
